VM Ware
Recently I made the mistake of downloading a software program via torrents and contracted a virus. I knew better and regretted it. My brother turned me on to VM Ware. You create virtual machines inside your hard drive. You allocate the amount of resources it can use and if you are done with it you simply delete it to free up all your resources. I installed 2 versions of Linux onto my Windows machine. So far liking the experience. Had to get all my bookmarks set but I am getting Linux up and going.
Linux Fedora
Fedora is a beginner‑friendly Linux distribution that focuses on being clean, modern, and reliable without feeling overwhelming. It uses the GNOME desktop, which keeps things simple with a straightforward layout and minimal clutter, making it easy to learn even if you’re coming from Windows. Fedora is known for staying up‑to‑date with the latest Linux features, so you get new improvements and security updates quickly, but without sacrificing stability. Most everyday software is available through the built‑in Software Center, and Fedora supports Flatpak apps out of the box, which makes installing programs even easier. It’s a great choice if you want a polished, secure system that “just works” while still giving you room to explore and learn Linux at your own pace.
